Rejoice - Beckham Sneak Peak

If this isn't considered an early Christmas present, then i don't know what is...

The Beckham Armani ads have unofficially arrived! The campaign will debut inside Vanity Fair's swank February issue - look for the complimentary Beckham/undie pin-up inside!

Question: Is this sort of publicity helping or hindering D. Beckham's reputation as a soccer god? It's obvious that this undie escapade is helping his wallet, but with his never-ending soccer injuries and his constant low amount of playing time on the field, one can only wonder when his peers will start too look at him as a joke (sorry Becks!).

I want to know what you think!

Armani Strikes Gold

Beckham-Addicts,

I am happy to report that flipping through approximately 100 annoying advertisements within your favorite monthly fashion magazine will now be a blissful activity. Millions of women around the globe will be able to pretend they are Posh Spice (sizes will vary) for a half second as their eyes dance across the new package-filled David Beckham/Emporio Armani underwear ads. There is a god.

That's right, according to today's Women's Wear Daily headlines - David Beckham will be stripping down to slip on various pairs of Emporio Armani underwear for their winter campaign.

Please see the abbreviated article below (I don't actually get to read the whole article because i cannot afford a legit subscription to WWD - it's over $200!!)

Beckham Strikes Armani Deal

Giorgio Armani is launching his Emporio Armani underwear collection in the U.S. and he's tapped an icon to wear it: David Beckham.

WWD has learned Beckham has been signed as the global face of Emporio Armani underwear. Beckham was shooting the ad campaign in Los Angeles late last week with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The ads will break in fashion magazines worldwide beginning with the January issues.
